Pros

Great culture with a rich variety of people, growing company with good opportunities for best performers. Very flat structure and easy to get voice heard and to make an impact.

Cons

Basic pains of any tech company with explosive growth; trying to continuously define what kind of people to hire and still managing the existing talent pool to maximise their performance.

Pros

I started working at Dropbox about six months ago, starting on the Dropbox Associate Programme (DAP). It has been an incredible experience so far. I get to work with a bunch of really smart, fun and funny people from a diverse range of backgrounds. That's pretty important to me - I'm always stimulated by the people around me and everyone gets along really well, it feels more like a big family than an office. The culture is great: everyone is encouraged to participate in office-wide decision making and if you have a good idea you're encouraged to take ownership of it and make it happen. This ties in with the level of responsibility I was given straight away: you get trained up quickly and then just get stuck in, which is pretty cool. I'm now doing outbound sales even though I didn't have any real sales experience before joining: the company and managers value enthusiasm, energy and hard work as much as experience which is empowering. The nature of the company is dynamic, so things are always changing - it's cool to see the company growing and developing before your eyes and knowing you have a hand in driving that. I would definitely recommend working here!

Pros

I enjoy coming to work each and every day because of my awesome colleagues, the interesting work, and because of the overall atmosphere. My team lead is always there if I need to discuss, e.g. career development issues. At Dropbox, you don't have to ask for managing, for example, a project. You simply go to your team lead and present a project outline and you can go ahead. I've never worked for a company that gave me that much freedom when it comes to structuring my work and developing new projects.

Cons

Be prepared to work hard. Dropbox is not the place for people who talk about work instead of getting it done.
