      PAINFUL Growing Pains

      Pros

      Dudek truly was once an amazing company to work for. They have great benefits, flexibility, fun work events, animal friendly, and some great employees although a lot of the good ones are planning to leave.

      Cons

      They are going through big leadership changes and it isn't for the better. The culture and employee moral has changed drastically and seems to keep declining. I have been at Dudek for a long time and in the beginning it was an amazing place but now they have lost their culture and a lot of what made them special. A lot of talented and intelligent employees are leaving, which is disappointing to see and even more are planning to leave. The new President is not inspiring nor motivating. He doesn't seem to truly care about the employees and their needs. The CEO is checked out and really isn't involved in the company at all. There's no real leader there.

      Typical consulting firm

      Pros

      Can be a flexible schedule when working in office, a lot of nice people work at Dudek but same at most consulting firms, might get a bonus depending on level, Dudek gives you a small thanksgiving gift which is nice, lack of structure is good if you are a good entrepreneur yourself- Dudek encourages you to be entrepreneurial as an individual.

      Cons

      Field work all over California - hard to have a family life, turning into a very corporate firm, new CFO reducing and or taking away bonuses, new CFO changing things drastically- very corporate ideas, high stress like all consulting firms, if you like structure you don’t want to work at this firm

      Pros

      -flexible work environment -office location I need more than 5 words so I am adding this part

      Cons

      -underpays jr staff (by ~15% compared to industry standard) and demands them to do a bulk of the project work -not a good environment to turn mistakes to learning opportunities -horrible interdepartment communication -high turnover -no accountability for higher management (i.e. everything flows downhill when something goes wrong)
