Company provides great culture and supports motivated employees
Pros
The company structure is designed to give you the flexibility to pursue your interests and the work style that suits you best, while trusting that you will get your job done (no micromanagement over daily tasks, billable hours, time cards, etc...). They support and reward creativity, both in technical practice and business development. As others have said, there is a strong effort to maintain a great company culture through company-sponsored extracurricular events and parties throughout the year. A lot of companies say that they have an “open door policy” with management, but it often does not feel that way. It has been my experience at Dudek that senior staff have been willing and even sought out feedback and I’ve always felt comfortable that I could go to them without hesitation if an issue came up. Since it is employee-owned and the staff are the shareholders that leadership answers to, there is a great deal of transparency about company growth goals and direction, which is refreshing. This has been a fantastic place to work and I feel very lucky to have found it.
Cons
The flexible working environment isn’t for everyone. There are people that need more structure and like to get more regular feedback. If that is your working style, Dudek may not be a good fit as personal growth here requires both independence and the motivation to actively seek out the work you enjoy doing.
