      Pros

      Very organized,excellent electronic medical records,wonderful facilities,very broad range of patients that made it interesting,Good call schedule,and good compensation.

      Cons

      Sometimes it was difficult to see all the scheduled patients in a timely manner.Occasionally,it would have been helpful to have continuing medical education at the practice level about certain issues that would arise.

      Pros

      Duke has fantastic name recognition and is the premier medical system in the area. Great opportunities to work with lots of different backgrounds. Very diverse and cosmopolitan. Relatively good resources. Coworkers are very friendly and welcoming. The campus is absolutely beautiful year round.

      Cons

      As mentioned in other comments, the parking system is pretty bad. It seems that all employees pay for parking. Some parking areas areas are off campus and you have to take a shuttle from the lot. Some parkings areas are unpaved and get quite muddy in the frequent rainy weather. The area around campus and the surrounding city can be quite dangerous. There seems to be reports of nearby criminal activity every month or so.

      Pros

      The best reason to work for Duke is the ability to maneuver to different departments and different positions.

      Cons

      It is hard to transfer to different areas and management is not the most supportive and do not back their employees. Well at least in my area, which is scheduling. The training is not the best.
