Pros

In 2021 with previous leadership, Dutchie was a great company with a fantastic culture that spent resources on issues like social equity and LGBTQ+ issues.

Cons

Company has now "grown up" and, in the Support area, has turned into a corporate call center. Management seemingly has no plan day-to-day, resources are hard to come by, metrics are not discussed until employees are punished for not meeting expectations.

Good people but poor place to work

Pros

Most of the people who work here are really great.

Cons

This company's moral compass has taken a bad turn. They laid off more people today and have not announced it to the company yet. This is such a morale killer and lacks any thoughtful foresight about its impact. We are already understaffed. This place has so much potential but they continue to reward poor management, are openly sexist, and seem to prioritize all the wrong things. They move too fast and care so little about actually building a good product and training support to be effective.

Pros

The team and people I worked directly with were great. They showed up each day ready to go above and beyond for one another and the customers.

Cons

Performative “open door” policy. Blatant prejudice and preferences toward white males. The SVP of support (no longer with the company) was completely inept, and often times retaliatory against anyone who did not share his same views. Constant surprise lay-offs, you would be working with someone one day and the next they’re gone without any word. Senior leadership has lost sight of the “mission” and this seems to be a money grab at this point. Continuously asked to take on more and more without compensation increases. Advancement opportunities seemed to be awarded based on personal preference rather than merit and performance.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. Our mission to provide safe and easy access to cannabis remains central to everything we do. Like for many companies in the tech industry, restructuring at Dutchie was necessary. We had to make some very difficult decisions. At the heart of those decisions is ensuring we are delivering impactful and innovative solutions for our customers. We value your input and appreciate you taking the time to share.
