      An excellent, fully remote work environment

      Pros

      I really enjoyed my time working at Dutchie. I was part of a very talented team and felt a sense of community despite being fully remote because there were many opportunities to connect with other members of the company beyond my immediate team. My managers were interested in helping me grow professionally, genuinely cared about my well-being, and encouraged a healthy work-life balance.

      Cons

      There is no 401k matching program and there were multiple rounds of layoffs.

We love hearing you enjoyed your time at Dutchie and felt the impact of great managers. Like many companies in the tech industry, restructuring at Dutchie was necessary. We had to make some very difficult decisions. At the heart of those decisions is our mission to create safe and easy access to cannabis, and to ensure we are delivering impactful and innovative solutions for our customers.

      Great Team, Bad Management

      Pros

      The front-line e-comm team is phenomenal. I've truly never worked with such smart, empathetic, and caring individuals. They are truly the lifeblood that's keeping the company afloat.

      Cons

      Favoritism from management, lack of accountability from management, no matter how good you are, they will find a way to nitpick you so you always feel inadequate, empty growth promises, vague explanations to hiring delays, an it's your job attitude despite things functionally not running smoothly, etc. Management thinks they're doing a great job while actively reducing any and all benefits offered during hiring (including time off, as understaffed people can't get time off). Management will leave you hanging during heavy volume while saying "it is what it is".

      Great HR - Great Team - Ups and Downs

      Pros

      - People and HR team is wonderful - Lots of little appreciation for teams (gifts, swag, surprise packages etc) - Growth opportunities - Actual real steps taken toward Diversity & Inclusion (not just for show) - People of colour in roles at every level of the company, including many in higher up/leadership roles.

      Cons

      - Long work hours - Frequent late nights - Big recent company shakeup - 70 staff and CEO laid off - Rapid expansion = the team is stretched very thin - Misunderstandings between Customer and Sales can cause friction with customer training/onboarding. - Performance is measured based on rooftops trained and launched - which can be bottlenecked from the client side - meaning you don't always have control.
