Pros

- Pay was okay, but that was offset by other factors - It was a cool place at one point - In engineering your experience is shaped by the team you are on - Benefits were pretty good - Unlimited PTO (...but come on, they monitor it, there are limits that are suggested) - remote first - they try to maintain culture with fun meetings, if such a thing exists - if you give them enough you can get promoted pretty quickly

Cons

- Employees talk about salaries, you know when you're being underpaid. I know good engineers who were getting paid less than others that didn't pull their weight. This seemed to be based on favoritism, or the misguided assumption that they had leverage over the employee. - Convos about paybands has been on going for sometime, no release and it seems like they have allowed pay disparities based on performance to continue. - There is a lot of immaturity, I've seen it go both ways from leadership and employees - A lot of politics make it in to the work place, things said that make people uncomfortable in meetings - There is definitely bias & preferential treatment. You need to be careful when giving feedback to certain people. It will either be knocked down, not heard, or explained away on skip levels.

Good people but poor place to work

Pros

Most of the people who work here are really great.

Cons

This company's moral compass has taken a bad turn. They laid off more people today and have not announced it to the company yet. This is such a morale killer and lacks any thoughtful foresight about its impact. We are already understaffed. This place has so much potential but they continue to reward poor management, are openly sexist, and seem to prioritize all the wrong things. They move too fast and care so little about actually building a good product and training support to be effective.

Pros

1. Fast paced environment with experienced and passionate leadership team 2. Creating an all-in-one solution for dispensaries to tackle the various hurdles of operating in a nascent space still awaiting federal legalization. Lots of opportunity to effect change and "get your hands dirty" as the company navigates new ideas on how best to help the customer base and define the industry 3. Full remote. Creates flexibility for work-life balance. Strong company culture/ "team pride" despite remote work environment

Cons

1. Day to day can seem undefined and require you to pivot, much like the industry as a whole, creating unstructured work. Good for those who can manage the uncertainty and are looking for a dynamic experience, but not for those looking for a more defined role 2. Difficult to interact with colleagues you do not work directly with, hampering the larger culture building opportunity outside of teams. Double-edged sword of being fully remote
