Very understaffed, lack of training, overworked and chastised for poor production numbers and told to produce more. Pretty much a non existent upper management base. Only one of the upper management ever walks around to socialize with employees and praise, correct, or gain input from the hourly employees. A overwhelming feeling of being expendable with a severe feeling of inferiority. Sweat shop comes to mind, only they pay their employees (never clock out at any time other than 15 past, half past, 15 til or on the hour, or you don't get paid for time not on a quarter). No accountability placed on operators for piece count, process controls, or quality (unless there is a quality issue that comes back). Lack of understanding of how LEAN Manufacturing works. The thought process of most employees are "well, there's a right way, that's the smart way, which is the last thing E&E would do." In essence, the employee morale is terrible, and stems from management telling everyone that they are the ones responsible for all issues that make the company lose money.
