Pros

A great job where you will be exposed to a range of technology and instrumentation that will help you grow as a professional. Very helpful co-workers offer support whenever I have a question. Management are doing a fantastic job. They’re willing to accommodate you most of the time.

Cons

When the company is sold the management style changes which can lead to conflicts and hurt feelings. It takes time to acclimate to change.

We understand that change is difficult, but it is also necessary for continued growth of our employees, and the business. We encourage you to participate in the new training programs that are teaching everyone to articulate the reasons why we are changing the way we do things….

Pros

1. Great Microscopy Experience, helped me getting into my dream company! 2. Coconut Water from Costco. 3. $50 per month per employee for team lunches/dinners.

Cons

There are way too many, just not listing them all here. My top picks would be as follows: 1. All shifts other than the conventional Mon-Fri 9 am to 5 pm can be a nightmare for you, if you're trying to keep a work-life balance. It can also be very taxing for your health, both physical and mental. 2. No equity, below average pay (not worth it if you're a MS degree holder) as per Bay Area living expenses.

Working at Nanolab does give you exposure to some of the top companies in the world, and it is true that the developmental training we provide makes our team very attractive to other companies. We are glad that you were able to move to your dream company, and we wish you the very best of success in all your future endeavors. Our shifts reflect the needs of our customers. While non-conventional shifts are not for everybody, for some it works very well in terms of balancing family life. We also pay shift premiums for these shifts. With respect to pay, we continually conduct market analysis and make adjustments as needed to ensure a competitive wage position.

EAG is committed to supporting our employees in their chosen profession and strives to provide an environment where everyone feels they can contribute their fullest, can learn and grow and their merit is recognized. This year we began to detail out our technical career paths, identifying the competencies required, and that will be learned at each step in our scientific community's career. We have now hired a Leadership & Development Specialist who will be working with each of the service lines to formalize the training required to support these career paths. With respect to competition, we seek to provide competitive wages and benefits in each of the markets in which we operate.
