Good Start, But That's it

Pros

Good place to begin career in the field. Most coworkers are good people, managers are typically flexible and easy to work with.

Cons

The company has been bought out time and time again. It is now ran by a corporation that doesn't care about the people doing the work. Pay is not competitive, but they will insist that it is. Time off has been cut, even for the tenured employees. Holidays have been cut from 10 days to 6. Time off will continue to lessen through the years with the removal of roll over hours and floating holidays. Some of the current offices are absolutely disgusting, covered in mold, smells of mildew, drooping ceiling tiles, damp and humid conditions. Benefits are fine, pretty average. But the pay is the worst part. This year the blame was put on COVID, but there are shady things happening that if you're going to blame COVID, everyone better feel that, not just some people. The turnover is high and will continue until there is some sort of incentive to stick around. If they get 3 years out of someone, they are lucky. The long term employees are only still here because they started when things were good and it is too late for them to make changes in their lives at this point

EAG was purchased by Eurofins several years ago, a group of international life sciences companies which provide a unique range of analytical testing services to clients across multiple industries. We team of talented and competent staff and believe in investing in training and creating good career opportunities. We strive to recognize and encourage outstanding performance through our daily interactions with our staff as well as our We Know How recognition program. I am not in a position to comment on benefits offerings pre acquisition, by EAG, through Eurofins, offers a competitive benefits package with generous time off. We use a market-based pay strategy and strive to offer a competitive wage in each of the communities in which we operate.

Had a great team, but the company is old fashion

The team was great. Everyone felt like family. Easy to work with.

Cons

The company is very old fashion. System is outdated and processes are very manual. I felt as if I went back in time working at EAG.

Thank you for your comment. EAG Laboratories focuses our technology on laboratory equipment and applications that service our customers. We have started upgrading many of our back of the house applications including a new email system, purchase order system, video conferencing systems, etc. to help improve our back of the house operations. With over 2,500 instruments worldwide, it is possible that you worked on some older equipment, as they allow us to achieve better resolution, and process control. Where possible we do upgrade, and replace equipment to improve throughput and capabilities. We also make sure that our critical equipment is supported by service contracts by the OEM, and backed by our inhouse service team. We are always looking for creativity in our staff, and once you have experienced how other companies cope with highly demanding customers, we would welcome you back into the family.
