Pros

Very sharp people, movers and shakers in the industry, with dedicated support teams and vocal, forward-driving customers. Great alignment to the mission of helping independent dealers compete against the big-box stores.

Cons

The need to support legacy features and technology frequently outweighs the need to move forward in user interface and mobile development. Unless something has changed significantly. ECi has acquired many of its competitors, and only a few products can attain flagship status.

Flexible schedule and a great work life balance.

Cons

Do not match 401K, which was a big bummer. Did not know this until I was hired.

Pros

Flexible schedule with a company-wide emphasis on work life balance. Not a clock in, clock out type of place. Management works to retain and promote/ reward high performing employees. Management is receptive to new ideas and can help you take them to the next level. High exposure to Directors, VP's and C-level executives. Pay is average for average employees, market for high performers. Above average benefits plan offered to all ECi employees. Take advantage of working with the latest tools and technology here.

Cons

ECi's number one priority is taking care of its customers so ECi's customer support employees are at times required to work during times other companies may be closed (after normal business hours, weekends, holidays). This mostly applies only to those employees in support positions who keep our products up and running during those times. Another thing that can be seen as a pro or a con is team members within an ECi department can be spread across the country and communication and interaction within a remote team can be difficult for some people.
