Pros

- The onboarding was quick and I was working with my manager right away defining my role and training. - Like most larger companies, there benefits are extensive and affordable, health, life, vision, dental and 401K. - So far the people I work with are great - I am able to work remotely

Cons

- For the starting pay for my position PSS, there is extensive learning required to learn all the facets of the product being supported and the requirements for daily work completed (once I am trained) are very challenging. The knowledge needed even to come in with deems a yearly salary 10,000 to 15,000 more. - Just the fact that I am working remotely should allow higher pay from the saving the company get for not having to provide office space. - With this large of a company, the idea of how the company is owned and managed with outside investment groups holding the reins is concerning. - The 401K matching could be higher to help retain employees.

Pros

The company demonstrates a commitment to retaining talent and keeping staff happy. They have worked hard in my time here to learn what employees think and respond with action to keep workers engaged. A significant number of employees have been promoted this year and the company is placing a priority on employee learning and growth. The teams are full of supportive people and my experience of managers has been positive. Folks are generally hard-working, take pride in their work, and go the extra mile to give customers what they need. Employees support and recognize each other regularly on the company's "High Five" recognition platform. The company is taking the slow economic time to adjust its structure and provide additional resources to key teams. There are many opportunities to contribute, grow, and learn for those interested in advancing. I truly believe that this company keeps doors open for its workers and the opportunity will be what you make of it.

Cons

The most pressing issues are siloing of the company and communications across departments and divisions. Each group acquired by the company has a different way of doing things and a plethora of tools and structures are in play. This is recognized by corporate and they are actively working to "thread the needle" in improving communication and cohesion without micromanaging. Thus far, I'm optimistic that this will improve, but it's going to take time and a bit of trial and error. Onboarding is a little bit scatter-shot. It's possible to roll up your sleeves and dive in, but there won't we a lot of hand-holding at first. The work teams themselves are very product and industry focused. This helps lend cache to employees working directly with industrial clients, it can sometimes be detrimental to working cross-functionally. This is also an issue for new professionals entering the company, as sometimes the "prevailing wind" on a team is that success is contingent on being an insider in the industry that the customers operate. I think this is also something that is starting to change (slowly) as new people enter the company and teams begin to more closely integrate.
