Behavioral Health Technician
Pros
Great Staff, Decent pay, 1:1 patient interactions, great psychiatric care experience. Always opportunities to pick up extra hours due to the short staff.
Cons
VERY short staffed, Poor Administration. The patient to staff ratio is supposed to be one for every six patients but they currently put one staff responsible for over 15 patients with an overload of responsibilities that are impossible to complete without more staff. There is also a strong lack of teamwork between direct care staff nd the administration. Administration also seems to brush it off when any staff come to them after getting physically harmed by a patient, or other equally serious concerns. They are very money hungry and care more about accepting more patients for profit than addressing the needs of the staff. It is plain unsafe, and patients could be seriously harmed or worse without proper staff to patient ratio but they still continue to disregard that. It is illegal and if anything were to happen a lawsuit would definitely happen.
