EPB's problems start at the top

Pros

There are no pros at EPB! That’s not wholly fair but a lot truer than the “there are no cons here” reviews after every bad one.

Cons

Employees are unhappy across the board except for the C suite who live in a bubble. Directors and senior staff are leaving in droves without replacements. Word is on the street to avoid. Leaders think people should be grateful simply to work here. Every recent managerial hire has been brought in from outside. Good current employees have no chance to grow.

Pros

Second star is for health insurance only. Pay is adequate for Chattanooga, not great, and not worth the work environment. Company was relenting about finally doing some hybrid when I left but didn’t like it.

Cons

This company has the hardest glass ceiling I have ever seen. No amount of work you do will ever matter, no matter how high quality it is. Appreciation and recognition don’t exist. The retirement package sucks.

Pros

Good insurance, decent pay. Coworkers really look out for one another, no one else is.

Cons

Politics and management. Yes men consultants and good old boys running the show. Everyone else is treated as children.
