Pros

I have nothing good to say about this company except you get exposed to a lot of different equipment.

Cons

They lie in the interview about the travel They lie in the interview about the training They lie in the interview about caring about your family They lie in the interview about career advancement They lie in the interview about getting you the support you need for projects They do not pay competitively like other 3rd party testing companies They put you in dangerous/stressful situations that you have little to no experience in

I am sorry to hear that you had a bad experience. It is important to utilize your managers and EPS's open door policy when you have issues. I am sure that through team work we could have worked together to minimize the negative experiences. If you have any comments or would like to further discuss, please contact me at s.reed@epsii.com. I would love the chance to hear your concerns. Thank you.

Pros

• A heavy workload makes the day go by quickly, and provides opportunities for overtime (good if you're hourly, not so if you're salaried). • Technologically advanced hardware / software in a clean / bright environment. • Co-workers are mostly kind and friendly. • Insurance premiums were average / reasonable. • Employees work mostly autonomously or within their teams with minor managerial interference.

Cons

• Significant lack of coherent training. • Micromanagement. • Excessive workload and unrealistic expectations of working tremendous amounts of overtime, which for a salaried employee is converted to "merit time" and factored into an employee’s yearly raise. However, as an hourly employee, requesting overtime becomes a struggle because the employee is essentially cornered into pleading with management for recognition of their workload. Management will badger or insult an hourly employee, saying that it's the employee’s fault that they can't get 60-70 hours’ worth of work done in 40 hours. So, it appeared that management would rather an hourly employee just give in and work off-the-clock to get the work done, which some employees did in an effort to keep up with their workload and avoid the confrontation / struggle with management for overtime approval. • Office culture is toxic, where management is correct, no matter what. If it is somehow proven that they are wrong, someone else is blamed. • Management is disrespectful of employees’ time, efforts, and integrity. • Many employees walk around with their heads down, reminiscent of abused animals. • Communication from management to staff, as well as between members of management, is severely lacking, resulting in projects frequently running over budget, which causes increased levels of stress and the laying of blame on innocent parties. • Shame, guilt, and abusive language as well as manipulation are used to keep employees in line. • Insurance is through United. Personally, my co-pays went up astronomically from my previous insurance.

Terrible management

Pros

Pay is okay, benefits are average.

Cons

Management is degrading and all around terrible. Terms they use directly when speaking to employees include illiterate, retarded, incompetent, incompetent, etc. They use derogatory language when speaking about blacks, Muslims, Hispanics, and women even when talking about clients. They also refuse to be wrong, they simply will not listen unless you are willing to spend nearly half an hour explaining it to them while being interrupted and spoken down to the entire time. Also management completely ignores federal laws for hourly employees, how they have not been investigated by DOL or sued by an employee yet is a mystery.

These comments are outlandish and and in no way are a representation of EPS. We take comments like these very seriously and will address them internally. I hope that this information was brought to the appropriate management utilizing our open door policy. We would never tolerate such inappropriate language and behavior.
