Project variety and decent benefits.

Pros

You've got to be kidding me.

Cons

Dragged me through several months of no contact only to tell me no for so many other entry level positions that I was over qualified for with a master’s. When I finally got an offer I accepted and immediately regretted my decision. I quit shortly after because of the Environment (Denver, CO) and everyone there.

Pros

ERM is a unique hybrid of science/engineering consulting and management consulting. We help our clients with business decisions and environmental compliance, and get them a better result than I've seen at other companies where they focus on doing a high-volume of reports or audits without understanding how the work affects the clients. I've worked at a couple big environmental engineering firms and ERM offers many things they don't: - At ERM environmental work is the main event, not second fiddle to engineering - ERM focuses on sustainability, and puts out an annual report that demonstrates these values - ERM has a foundation that contributes to sustainability programs around the globe - ERM offers international work opportunities if you want to move abroad to work. - ERM is owned by partners who are accountable for the success of the long term business, instead of being owned by Wall Street. They care about the employees and the outcome of the projects. My coworkers are fun, smart people and the partners care about the employees and the work they do. Everyday we get to do something good for the environment and have fun doing it.

Cons

Sometimes the hours are long, but that is just consulting.
