Pros

I enjoyed the "work hard, play hard" organizational mindset. Everyone was encouraged to do their best

Cons

Sales runs the organization - which is fine if you are in Sales. But if you are in the areas that actually have to deliver (Development, etc.) it's completely different. Most of the sales organization refuses to follow process, and the CEO hates holding people accountable because then he would have to fire them - which he doesn't like to do.

Pros

It is great to work in a field that really tries to help people. Unfortunately, Intouch has lost sight of that vision and chosen to focus on profits, prestige and the "cool factor" of technology.

Cons

Good old boys club. Leadership that doesn't lead. Executives that are more interested in showing each other up than actually leading the organization. Internal politics that are incredibly maddening. Everything with Intouch has to be new/unique. There are processes that other companies have developed that can be adopted. When an opening in leadership opens, rather than looking at internal talent, they hire from the outside, stifling internal growth. To disguise this, they "mass-promote" nearly everyone in the company at the same time, so they give the impression of people advancing.

Pros

Great people, for the most part. This company invests in the talent, and it's evident: in-house expertise in areas not previously represented, level-appropriate training and development opportunities, a good spread of talent across the departments, and a balance of promoting from within with recruiting top-flight senior-level personnel. The compensation package is fair, and I can't complain about work-life balance. No place is perfect, but Intouch got a lot of things right. The organization has been on a steady and rapid upward trajectory, which caused a lot of changes and growing pains. Those who have adapted and even championed change, have thrived.

Cons

There still needs to be a better consistency across the three offices, as each appears to have its own distinct vibe. It should be the job of upper management to bring everyone to the "Intouch way" of doing things. There is also some variances in how things are done on individual team level -- so it's hard to say whether "Intouch is right for you"; it all depends on whose team you're on. But I suspect that may be the case in most organizations this size.
