Pros

- Will take care of your visa/paperwork if you require any help with that - Surprisingly they have some good clients, so if you are lucky enough you might get a chance to work with them - PTO, Sick Days and Insurance (insurance is not that great)

Cons

Poor Compensation. EXL is like a sophisticated staffing company/consultancy which will make good money (Super lucrative) out of you but won’t pay you fairly. - Growth and promotions are a myth! It completely depends on how much you agree with your boss and their bosses. If you are a "Yes Boss" kind of a person or willing to "Kiss your boss’s feet" (Hope you understand what I am trying to say) this is a good place! Hard work and client appreciation honestly don’t matter when it comes to promotion, growth, future role, changing domains, etc. - Typical hierarchy culture, don’t even think of reaching out to super bosses, senior leaders, other managers nor the HR if you need help, all your efforts will be in vain and it will blow on your face bad! - Bosses/Managers (Reporting Managers) who have been in the organization for a long time will try to show their seniority and will hamper you some or the other way if you don’t follow what they say - A simple verbal communication does not hold any place at EXL, people (Reporting Managers) can disagree to an agreed communication within a fraction of seconds. Employees are expected to document every bits and pieces of communication if they want to live in peace. Seriously, is that the only thing left? Should employees not work? - Employees are not treated well (Employees at EXL help the company to generate so much revenue at least respect them. They are not slaves) - Poor work-life balance - Haven’t seen any cultural diversity - Poor work atmosphere

Thank you for your feedback. As a company, our most important asset is our people. Our HR practices include reviewing our compensation structures periodically and aligning our hiring and performance increases to relevant market data. We also do bench-marking on a regular basis that show we are quite aligned and for those areas where we are not, we formulate a long-term plan for the same. While we do have personal development programs rolled out on a periodic basis, it does still need more attention. We are working on enhancing our capability development initiatives in the US Geo. We do have a diverse population as a company but maybe in certain teams we need to focus on bringing greater diversity and programs to encourage that are already in place and being implemented.

Pros

Your voice is something they put as priority. I have been in two different major accounts in EXL and by far I have one major observation. The culture of helping each other out, even without asking for it. Help just comes even when you least expect it. Onset of training you will be treated as one group therefore you won’t feel alone, the “newbie” vibe. your trainer will ask you to go on lunch together and the trainer will even sit with u and your group to mingle and get to know you more. Like any other BPO companies, they offer ameneties to promote work life balance, in this company, their ameneties focuses more on your health. All centers offer a gym wherein its complete with basic equipments,treadmills, shower rooms and lockers. The food is also something that I know you value when looking for a good company to work in. In EXL we have not only a loyal concessionaire but we also have a monthly food bazaar wherein we promote to everyone working in EXL and also their family and friends. Transportation is also accessible since its w/in the mall. All in all, working in EXL is ideal because it’s convenient,accessible to your needs and your safety is a priority.

Cons

The only challenge is that im terms of salary offer, they are not very much competitive when it comes to the basic part. But they do compensate with the benefits especially the HMO. Recruitment is also a challenge for me. Filling the needed # of hired applicants is a challenge. This needs more advertising to make the company known and to encourage more alpplicants to join.
