Pros

It is a paycheck. And working at HQ might be better

Cons

Eccalon is a highly dysfunctional company that doesn’t care about their employees. On their website they try to position themselves as an innovative technology company, however they are just a body shop trying to put people on contracts they have won by submitting the lowest bid. The position they described to me was completely different from the job function I ended up doing. I thought I was going to be joining a innovative team oriented project…instead by week one I was reviewing invoices and scheduling meetings. They struggle to do the bare minimum in regards to HR functions, and their benefits package (401k, training, and the like ) is really dishonest. I worked onsite with a government client, and they had no idea how to do remote management. My Pm was a nightmare, and incompetent… Their version of PTO is nonsensical, and is not paid out at the end.

Pros

Most employees here are truly great people with great morals and ethics, and even a few members of upper management are solid people. This company will offer you the opportunity to learn many different things, but at the cost of low pay, long hours, poor culture, and more

Cons

Poor communication/ leadership from upper management. Upper Management does not listen to the thoughts/ suggestions/ worries of their employees. Strong sense of distrust in management. Company lied about numerous aspects: culture of innovation, care for employees career growth, fair compensation, matching 401k, flexible work hours, and more. People are underpaid and overworked, moral is low, there are no employee yearly/quarterly reviews. Employees are not given official titles, making work confusingat times. Some employees are incredibly toxic making working with them depressing, disgusting, and aggravating. Turnover is high. Employees are not even given yearly salary increases to adjust for inflation. Work from home is not allowed (that has temporary changed due to the virus). Employees must cover their own business expenses and will wait weeks or even months to be reimbursed. No relocation compensation. Work/life balance varies drastically between employees due to work loads.
