Good for some but not for most

Pros

If you are on the radar of a good project then management pays attention to you. The health benefits are better than other companies.

Cons

Where to start? Disorganized. No clear leadership in many areas. Some employees do not know who they report to. People kill themselves and get no recognition or appreciation. Nobody cares if you work 100 hours a week as long as you get done what they want done even if it is impossible. No feedback unless you do something really wrong or they want to get rid of you.

Pros

Lots of independence in my role. Diversity and inclusion seem to be a priority. The programs the company works on are interesting and important.

Cons

Really terrible Leave policy. Only one recognized paid-off holiday per year, and when it falls on a weekend you do not get the day off. The back-office/HR is really disorganized and extremely slow to respond-when they do respond it is only helpful 50% of the time. The company seems very secretive about what they do, so if you're hired for a specific role do not expect to understand what the rest of your co-workers are working on. Also, don't expect the role you were hired for to be what you actually do on a day-to-day basis!

Poor in so many areas

Pros

Most employees here are truly great people with great morals and ethics, and even a few members of upper management are solid people. This company will offer you the opportunity to learn many different things, but at the cost of low pay, long hours, poor culture, and more

Cons

Poor communication/ leadership from upper management. Upper Management does not listen to the thoughts/ suggestions/ worries of their employees. Strong sense of distrust in management. Company lied about numerous aspects: culture of innovation, care for employees career growth, fair compensation, matching 401k, flexible work hours, and more. People are underpaid and overworked, moral is low, there are no employee yearly/quarterly reviews. Employees are not given official titles, making work confusingat times. Some employees are incredibly toxic making working with them depressing, disgusting, and aggravating. Turnover is high. Employees are not even given yearly salary increases to adjust for inflation. Work from home is not allowed (that has temporary changed due to the virus). Employees must cover their own business expenses and will wait weeks or even months to be reimbursed. No relocation compensation. Work/life balance varies drastically between employees due to work loads.
