Edmentum reviews

The company I originally went to work for was purchased by PLATO which later evolved into Edmentum. During the acquisition process senior management was less than honest and engaged in a great deal of finger pointing. In addition to this salaries were slashed in half and teams were assigned new managers whom had less then realistic expectations. Outside of the cross-country rumor mill I can tell you that eventually everything you heard came to light. It would seem everyone (including those who made Presidents Club) were put on an Improvement Plan in an attempt to create a "natural" attrition rate. If you want to work in an environment where you are always on the edge, not valued by management, and feel like you are the next one out the door at any moment - then Edmentum is the place for you. it breaks my heart to write this as i have heard that PLATO was once a great place to work.

As with any SAAS company, change happens often. It is not any different than any other organization today. Keeping up with the latest and greatest makes most companies today like a start up everyday. Change is not easy for some people and those people may not be happy at Edmentum. Because of the fast growth, communication suffered but this last year has been much better and management wants to address concerns. Who wants to lose good people? Or lose business? They have worked very hard in this area. I am very proud to work for this company.
