Pros

- Large majority of staff are GREAT people who believe in what they are doing - Benefits are strong - Great customers! The first 9 years of employment were some of the best years of my career! Doing work that mattered, next to some of the greatest people! People were rewarded for hard work, they had opportunities to grow, they felt heard and felt like part of the big picture! There were few days in which you didn't want to go into the office.

Cons

One leader of one department can single handedly destroy an entire organization's culture. A leader with zero care or concern for work-life balance. A leader who takes all credit or passes all blame. A leader who bullies and threatens employees' jobs. A constant hounding of "we will put you on a plan!" A leader who doesn't hear the people. A leader who doesn't care about the people. A leader who ridicules and puts down her people. A leader who is a leader by title ONLY and demonstrates absolutely nothing of a good people leader. Sadly, HR has been confronted time and time and time again by employees from every level and from multiple departments. The executive team chooses to ignore it. I always thought highly of the CEO but have lost respect in the fact that she knows this is happening in her organization and does nothing to better the situation. Honestly, I wouldn't give Edmentum another 5 minutes of my time to write this, but there are so many talented and beautiful people there who are not being treated with respect. Their hearts are big and they have a passion to help kids, but behind the scenes, they are treated so poorly and they are worked more than anyone deserves! You may think I am a disgruntled employee, but I am nothing of the sort. I was smart and I got out of there! After 10+ wonderful years, I chose to end my Edmentum career and start with a new company that is respectful, appreciative and listens to its employees. It's amazing! If you are considering joining the services team, I urge you to network and find others in that department to ask about their experience. I assure you that I am not alone. Good Luck!

Pros

You can work from home. Extra cash. Other than that I am unable to think of any more pros. That's it

Cons

In the beginning I was told this would work great with my full time teacher job. My social studies coordinator said I was replacing someone who failed to communicate with students. Once I got started she assured me I would be given time to catch up on the learning curve for the systems. I checked in with students and parents. Students can submit work anytime so it can pile up as far as grading. I took my time to give true feedback. After 3 only weeks my coordinator harassed me to no end about not working quick enough and encouraged me to quit. When I wouldn't she fired me. FYI teachers thinking about working here they need a licensed teacher in that state for the students to get legitimate credit. They need us but forget they only pay very little compared to our full time. I make it a point to tell my colleagues to avoid this company at all costs. It's not worth the headache. I even attempted to reach upper management and was ignored.
