Pros

Embrace efficiency and professionalism. Stop driving your nurses all over tarnation, stop switching nurse case managers and territories--allow your nurses to bond with their hospice patients. Keep your promises, stop staff splitting "blame the nurse" behaviors. Engage in ethical practice (things are so much easier when you do). Pay a competitive wage/benefit package to attract and retain reliable nurses with clinical skill. $6000 deductible for health insurance is catastrophic insurance coverage.

Cons

Rampant favoritism practices/management uses "silent treatment" Nepotism prevalent throughout organization from top down Pressure from management to practice unethically (do not chart what you see) Lousy benefits ($6000 health insurance deductible) Reactive inexperienced unethical management practices with no recourse (nepotism)

Pros

Pay seemed decent and the manager was really level headed and friendly

Cons

30 units is full time in a work week. They make full time nurses to work every 3rd weekend and then they get 1 day off for their weekend IF they do at least 15 units on Saturday and Sunday. What kind of bull crap is that? Then they make you work your holiday on your weekend so you work Monday thru Friday; then Saturday, Sunday and Monday. While every one else lounging getting 3 days off. They do that so they only have to give you one day off and call it your holiday... If you do like 21 points in those three days, then you get 2 days off. A whole week of work in 3 days, just so I can get my weekend? They just force salary nurses into overtime. If they see fit you get a weekend. Or maybe you won’t. You’ll never know lol… this logic is asinine. Nice way of screwing your nurses out of their holiday or the holiday pay. Those nurses need to report that crap to HR and get paid for all the holiday time you guys get screwed out of. No wonder they are short staffed. I didn’t take that job.

Pros

Pay is decent when compared to competitors

Cons

Complete lack of leadership. In the course of 4 years there has been nearly a dozen leadership changes in operations and sales. Constantly changing the goalposts and focus accounts. I amazed the CEO has been able to keep his job considering the companies year over year losses.
