I'm sorry to hear of these concerns, however I would appreciate if you could confirm this feedback is meant for Electric Power Engineers, INC headquartered in Austin, Tx since a few items you mentioned in detail do not align with EPE's actions and culture.
EPE sent all employees to work from home immediately at the onset of COVID, and has continued to allow and encourage working from home since. We still to this day do not require attendance in the office and have set up all employees for success in a work from home environment.
Our health insurance including medical, dental, vision, AD&D, STD and LTD plans have not changed since 2018. Our benefits package continues to be a generous plan that is 100% employer paid for all full time employees. Additionally our 401K plan has remained the same for two years with company matching and immediate 100% vesting. Earlier this year we gathered feedback from our employees, reviewed historical use of time off, and made positive changes to our PTO plan and added an additional paid holiday to provide a generous amount of time off. We also provide a continuing education budget for every full time employee to help them reach their professional goals. We continuously review our benefits and compensation packages to ensure we are providing the best to our employees.
As far as the concerns shared regarding gossip, culture, and HR complaints; unfortunately without more information I am unable to address them. I can confirm that we do have a small HR department, however we do host monthly virtual happy hours, quarterly events (when safe for gatherings), quarterly global townhall meetings, and celebrate sporadic holidays, birthdays, and fun moments in the office in addition to providing a positive work environment with coffee, snacks, and a friendly and communal atmosphere. Our company has an open door policy and encourages employees to share concerns with HR or their direct supervisor or leader they feel comfortable approaching. Any concerns that are shared are treated with the utmost respect and confidentiality. If you had a negative experience while working at EPE I would like to sincerely apologize.
