The Chief Nurse Officer at Queen of the Valley Hospital, Mary Konyalian, has been an inspiration as she encourages staff to advance in their practice and work towards their top license potential. It was challenging for me to start in a new position two years ago, but Mary guided me through the process and continues to provide support and direction. She ensures her staff strive towards the highest level of patient care, but her compassion truly shows as she still gets to know people on an individual personal level.

Cons

Emanate Health continues to grow and improve, but unfortunately the Hospice has recently closed.

I came in to QVH thinking it will be a great stepping stone to provide me with clinical experience as a new nurse. In time, I realized how great of a hospital it is to work at. I love my job and I love the people I work with. It is like family. Leadership does their best to make the nurses happy for a non-profit organization with amount resources available. CNE is very knowledgeable and is one of the greatest asset of the organization as she expands and helps the company grow.

More resources for staff like better menu options in cafeteria, Starbucks on site, child care on site, etc….

CNE very supportive with ideas to help staff reach their full potential and grow. She literally knows every staff and is very engaged. She is very knowledgeable and compassionate. She puts staff first and cares about the staff All issues brought to CNE is handled right away Flexible work environment and management truly cares about staff and goes out of their way to make sure you are ok.

Wish they had a gym It will be nice to have more selection in cafeteria Hire per diems
