Pros
What more can one ask for than work for Chicago’s Best and Brightest Companies? It has been a wonderful experience right from my first interview to when I accepted the offer to until today. AST has the BEST and very well-defined onboarding process that begins with their HR Business Partner welcoming you by email as well as on the phone and then your People’s Manager assigns an Onboarding Champion for you who reaches out to you daily to check if you need any help and have any questions. The focus is on teamwork, so all colleagues are very supportive. AST is quite a place to champion diversity, equity and inclusions (DEI), everyone is welcomed to innovate so that we can all be better together. You can join various Employee Resource Groups and they all support DEI. There is easy access to top management who take the time to meet with all new hires during the 1st two week, the CEO, Justin Winter is super amazing with down to earth personality and fully supports DEI. He personally meets everyone during their 1st week and is reachable anytime by all staff. I love that there are internal projects that lead to continuous process improvement and operational excellence. The focus of these projects includes helping clarifying roles and responsibilities for improved accountability. The internal projects provide opportunity for the staff to practice firsthand what we preach / teach to our clients and equip us to be their best possible business partners.
Cons
The only downside that I have experienced is not being able to meet in person but we use TEAMS video meeting to collaborate so it’s quite a work around.
