Pros

- GREAT co-workers; truly some of the most talented people you will find yourself working with. - The culture is really positive and the people are super kind & helpful. You will make real connections here; definitely feels a lot more personal than remote work could feel. - The work is fun and interesting. - Really solid benefits & pay. - Flexible time off (AKA unlimited time off) that you are encouraged to take. - Lots of company holidays, including 4 annual mental health days (1 per quarter) & company closure the week between Christmas and New Year. - Company does (at least try to) prioritize professional growth, with two review cycles per year. - Fully remote, fairly flexible as long as you get your work done and your 40hrs into the company time tracker.

Cons

- Really pushes for new client business and is not the best at client retention, leading to large fluctuations in workload; some months you have too much to keep up with and other months the company has lost major clients and feels like its on shaky ground. - Workloads can be heavy; the company largely has a "keep the client happy at all costs" mindset and over-promises work to sign new clients; upper management in pitches do not always have a realistic understanding of what the day-to-day work actually looks like which adds to the over-promising. - The heavy workload means that often personal growth/development and long-term client strategy are pushed aside in favor of delivering scoped work. - Lots of meetings that don't always seem necessary/conducive to work. - Loooots of layoffs; definitely something the company is aware of and wants to prevent but as of my Q1 2026 layoff this has not been fixed. It's an ongoing issue with layoffs/downsizing regularly occurring. - Upper management is definitely aware of the problems within the org, and are constantly promising the company that they're working to fix them; unfortunately, the impact is not felt throughout the company.

Pros

- I say all this as someone who has been around the industry and others: Code3 is one of the better places I've ever worked. - Awesome team members, legit some of the best / smartest people I've worked with, including my managers (despite other reviews) - Love my clients, and leaders have gotten so much better at assigning clients to team members based on interests and specialization (still a work in progress) - Good managers who care about me and are trying to make it all work - Fiscal transparency w/ monthly town hall meetings - Leadership is really trying to make things better in a turbulent macro-economy - If you are committed to 1% better everyday, and challenging yourself rather than waiting on others to push you, you will excel

Cons

- The main negative is there are a few unhappy team members who want to infect those around them; immaturity even at the mid and lower senior levels makes team dynamics difficult at times - As with any agency, the hours can be more than 40/week - especially on more complex accounts - Agency stability is based on client outcomes, more clients = growth, less clients = layoffs - simple business economics tbh - We could use more junior talent, to develop and provide tactical support, so CP and Activation leads can focus more on client strategy
