Pros
I had worked for Medco 26 years and in all of our mergers, new names, transitions, this acquisition was the worst I've ever endured. Major lay-offs, they didn't inform the sites until minutes before they closed. Termed RPh then found out they needed more bodies and then hired more. In one site, they closed the site, hired back some of the RPh and then closed the "site" again. My experience - I have ALWAYS received great or fair reviews. ESI did not file my paperwork of pay grade after the acquisition. (Vacation was taken away if you had "too many") My 6 month review was great, nothing amiss. My yearly review was horrible with no warning. Instead of grading me against my peers, my prior pay grade put me in with the managers. You cannot reuse the same grade, everyone gets something different so because I was "lower" than a manger, I received the worst rating. My director said, "yes, we know it's not fair but nothing can be done about it". this made me ineligible for the bonus and a pay raise, not to mention not being able to move into another department. I was not the only one this happened to.
Cons
Management, at least in my department, berate, yell and degrade you during conference calls. Want you to speak up but then chastise you and literally call you a bully. We had witnessed that time and time again. Unethical practices of telling departments one thing and you know the issue is quite something else that will eliminate their job completely.
