Pros

- Great group of coworkers who genuinely want to see each other succeed and support one another and try to help each other out - Get to gain valuable skills - The culture in the greater org seems to be strong (not something seen in the BDR org)

Cons

- No opportunity for career growth mapped out - Very much a boys club, leadership wise, with little to no diversity represented - Competing against products with way higher name recognition in an over saturated market with no true differentiating factors - Direct mgmt uses scare tactics to shame those who have left for better opportunities and to try to retain current employees - Tons of micro management and lack of trust from direct management. Constantly being told "leadership is watching" - Low base pay that is not competitive with other tech companies that Freshworks strives to be like - No opportunity to network with other teams/areas of the business - Very high turnover rate with more tenured people leaving for way better paying jobs - Quota is difficult to achieve - Taught cold call strategy that is the opposite of what industry experts recommend and teach

Pros

- Mostly good salary/benefits - Nice office - Some decent coworkers

Cons

If you have to do mass layoffs of hundreds of employees every 18 months, leaders need to look in the mirror to find the true problem with the business. Because it's not the competent people that actually get things done that are being laid off with no warning and limited severance. Don't expect any job security here. Also: - Still behind on certain benefits (extremely limited 401k match and bad expense policies not in line with US standards) - Work life balance is hard with large teams in both India and the US - Some employees who have been here 10+ years are completely unresponsive and largely incompetent but still get raises, promotions, and aren't ever scrutinized by leadership. The politics game runs deep here.
