Pros
— Able to play video game (demos) as learn about new launches. — Updated PoS systems for hassle-free cash/credit transactions. — Plausible employee discounts on some promotional store items. — Promotions happen from within but it's dependent upon location. (Any have to wait until a keyholder role opens which means waiting for said Store Manager to retire, or a Supervisor to be promoted to a Store Manager. Same applies for associates role seeking to work up the ladder and into a Supervisor position. Working the corporate chain can happen too, however, it will certainly takes both time and a patience if/when the case is the store in question: 1. Does not get shut down prior to management needing shifts. 2. GameStop shall also hire outsourced for management per some but not of all their store locations and within their corporate office per HQ when they know that no one below the level of a role is not ready or trained for responsibility by whatever corporate position is open alongside that of any which hailing with the same emphasis Store Manager) — Employees are recognized for how many "GameStop Pro Credit Cards" they can open with the customers who visit store locations.
Cons
— District management do not visit in-store locations very often. (Visits are random and friendly but do not come in as frequent as other Fortune 500 Companies per districts boundaries divisions) — Discard more plastic waste into the environment after trashing video games broken, scratched, and unable to work per a resale. — Employees who are scheduled on game launch mornings will have to anticipate staying later on the clock as to promote sales and help their customers who arrive early for pick-up their video games. It'll happen where employees, besides management are scheduled with work during game launch days and into the next morning past midnight; be told to clock-out before reaching OT. — No available work lockers in certain backrooms of their stores. (Make sure to keep a close eye on all your personal belongings?) — No healthcare benefits and 401K for the part-time employees.
