Pros

- Nice people - Beautiful location for HQ

Cons

- Was told no "time card" during the interview process - However they require you to email your team when you are starting and ending work. With what you plan on working on/what was accomplished. They were VERY particular about the format of these emails and VERY on top of making sure everyone filled them out. It was very confusing for my line of work - being on call etc - No expectation of working hours during interview process. This is false. If you didn't send your "starting work" email to the team at what they deemed an appropriate hour - you will get called out. If you ended too early, you would get called out - on call - typically on-call for me as an engineer in other companies was for production-related outages - Their on-call was literally doing daily work. E.g. they have offices in the UK - so you were expected to work normal tasks during on-call hours to accomodate the global hours - not just maintain production. Basically added 15-20 extra hours of work every call rotation. VERY bizzare. - Fun Clubs - I was told that they have a rock climbing club during interview processes where you can go climbing with co-workers during company hours once or so a week. Very cool! But again... after joining - they only allow up to one hour per week per club. So if i were to go climbing with co-workers in Cottown Wood canyon - it would definitely go over - I never once went because it was simply impossible to fit that into an hour. I left after a few months.

Pros

Great people and culture. Solid benefits, Health insurance paid 100%.

Cons

Comp is ok. Promotions are almost impossible to get. Constant layoffs, maybe 5-7 times in the past 12 months? Engineering leadership is constantly switching priorities and lacks vision, transparency, and ownership. Long-standing traditions are now being canceled, likely to save money. Poor AI posture in engineering. Engineers are encouraged to spend ridiculous amounts on AI tokens, then the company does layoffs because it spent too much on AI.
