Pros
The people who work there throughout the corporate office are friendly and helpful -- even top executives. At first it was a very corporate atmosphere, but over the years upper management began to remember that we were a crafts company and to understand that some employees were crafty and creative. Yarn Yoga sponsors Warm Up America once a year, with one day to teach knitting or crocheting and another to connect sections into afghans; twice a week they get together at lunch to knit, crochet, and chat. Other times during the year the company would sponsor "Make and Take" events -- or bring store classes to the office. (Corporate employees could also take store classes for free.)
Cons
It is still a corporate office, with all the usual trappings. Also, some departments are always under threat of being outsourced. Pay is low compared to other corporations.
