Pros
Coworkers are generally friendly and easy to get along with. If you're skilled enough at a particular craft, you have the potential to become a classroom instructor.
Cons
Benefits are atrocious for part-time workers, especially with part-time medical benefits being taken away. The hourly pay is too low to live off of on its own, if management doesn't give you enough hours. There's a constant pressure to collect emails from customers (only unique ones, though, because repeat emails don't count). If the store doesn't meet the minimum collection percentage, management prints out a list of employee numbers and highlights the ones that scored the lowest, then proceeds to verbally discipline them in private. Management is a joke, at least at my store. When the store manager gives free passes to one other manager (guaranteed weekends off anytime they ask, working overtime without being asked in order to pocket extra cash, leaving early whenever desired without consequences) and ignores the requests of other managers, the store has become corrupt. When the district manager won't intervene to end the behavior, the system itself has become corrupt.
