Pros
Live my coworkers...some of the most creative people I've ever known!
Cons
As a person in the framing department we are dealing with artwork worth anywhere from ten dollars to upwards of hundreds of dollars. Most of the frame shops in the stores have climate control issues. Shops are at the end of the AC system and get little to know air conditioning. No fans or air movers are allowed, and the humidity levels have been, roughly 50% or higher on a daily basis. Corporate framing doesn't seem to care about the potential damage to artwork, or framers trying not to drip sweat on artwork. Adhesives don't stick, laminates are activating on the rolls, and papers are curling, along with artwork stored in the shops for over a week. Not to mention the health issues associated with the high humidity environment. Unfortunately all the company (beyond the store mgr and AM) care about is the money. In the end world class is thrown out the window. If money is so important, we shouldn't have gone public. If the shares fall even a penny, we all have to now curtail spending. Well, framing takes supplies and those supplies can't be cut.
