Pros

- Saylor is a visionary and has led the company into new, profitable, exciting ventures long before the competition. This creates buzz and excitement throughout the company, as many people are truly inspired by his "all or nothing" mentality - consulting projects can be very challenging and rewarding for personal growth - middle management is largely supportive of consultants and eager to help when and where they can (unfortunately they are not given a lot of power or authority)

Cons

- pay and benefits are uncompetitive (as everyone else will tell you) - turnover among field employees is very high, as realization of how the business is managed sets in - division leadership is disconnected from workforce - leadership comes from outside and often does not have any experience with the product - consultants are often on islands (little or no contact with other consultants, management, or operations) - non-HQ employees do not get any fringe benefits - climbing the ladder is nearly impossible (many long-term employees have jumped to and from the company in order to move up) - company does not care about high attrition, as they believe all employees can be replaced
