often belittled and cast aside of opinions that are then claimed as someone else's genius idea no upwards movement possible - the role and title you have now will be the role and title you have 5 years from now Management is basically an old boys network and often acts accordingly, even though it says it doesnt work life balance hard - working with offshore teams means you're working a bit on the weekends and later into the evening Not enough work to keep busy on the design side of things there will be large gaps of time where you're bored out of your mind, and they will blame your lack of work effort on you not picking projects out of thin air Communication with Product management is awful. The general lack of direction and focus for the designer comes from them being overworked, but its still hard to get their time for feedback into the direction of product design if you're looking for a collaborative team environment where everyone contributes to design effort by bouncing ideas off each others, this isn't going to be the place for you. If you're okay with making decisions and doing all the hard work that will then get cast aside because of their opinions not being expresed early enough then you're in the right place
