Pros

- A fast-paced environment, since VPs are always busy promoting themselves - Problems are solved efficiently and perfectly. If anything goes wrong, simply get rid of the person who raises the issue. When everyone shuts up or gets fired, the problem is resolved. And once again, the day is saved, thanks to Mojo Bubbles! - All men are created equal, so they let go competent scientists and brilliant CTO. The official reason is they make NetBase far ahead of competitors - Life in NetBase is always exciting and challenging, since you face all kinds of discrimination. Gender, age, marriage status, nationality, you name it, you get it! You get insulted and depreciated on a daily basis - People are nice to you, if and only if you are in the same clique. If you join the "right" clique successfully, congratulations, you can do whatever you want. Otherwise you get bullied, and it's all your fault - Management are always beyond your imagination. Domain experts don't know the market, and Kotler does not teach you how to win a better title -- only VPs do - NetBase is not a software company, but a political party. Join NetBase to polish your BS skill, and you will be ready to run for senator. Don't be afraid if you do not have a technical background. If you can do elementary school level math, you are not the worst And the best part of the company culture is their CRIAR value: - Customer Focus: NetBase never educates customers; they only focus on those buzzwords that customers know. Management are not capable of defining a roadmap, and they are not interested in the future of the industry and technology - Respect: VPs and directors are sincerely respected, even if they plagiarize members' ideas and credits. All proposals before piracy do not have any business value - Integrity: Read the comments here carefully, and you can find a different definition of integrity. They defame people who give real feedback; only fine-sounding words are encouraged - Agility: They are so agile that they refuse to meet the deadline. Self-discipline means stubbornness; you need to be agile in order to achieve low quality together - Result Oriented: Meeting minutes is the key result they pursue. Some people spend more than 1/3 of their time in meetings. Management spend more than 80%. Some decisions are made before the meetings, others can never be made from one meeting to another

Cons

- Good work-life balance, since there is not much to do. It makes most people forget that it is a toxic and unhealthy environment

The company is focused on leading in their market in all aspects. The market and execution is fast paced. Those of us who keep up and contribute are treated well and remain happy work work here.

Cons

Not everyone likes that challenging market. People do sometimes fail against defined performance criteria as evidenced here on this site with negative reviews from people who left.

Pros

NetBase has a great team of people to work with. The individuals that stick with the changes are smart, responsible, flexible, and continually evolving their approach for the better. NetBase values the employee and the customer feedback. I’ve felt my voice has been heard over the past 4 ½ years and that my customers’ voices have been heard as well. I’ve been challenged constantly by the ever-changing market and client needs. There are no two days the same and it keeps me on my toes. I’ve had the privilege to work with many of the teams here at NetBase and can honestly say I feel respected, valued, and that I’m making an impact. NetBase is small, so your work is noticed – if you work hard, it is rewarded. If there is no work that is quickly addressed. I see this as a good thing because it keeps others from having to take on more than they can handle because someone else let it fall through the cracks.

Cons

Work life balance can seem off. We even warn potential new hires of this. This is not an hourly career, its going to take a lot of your time. We each wear many hats and are assigned a lot to cover down on. Whether it is the travel, long hours, or being remote that gives you pause, make sure you are up for the challenge. The hiring process is rigorous. However there is extremely low churn from those who make it through.
