Pros

You can be successful in RQ as long as you can work harder than all the overworked people here. Good luck. The company has gotten many generous investments totaling in the hundreds of millions! I'm not sure if you'll ever see a cent of that going into your paycheck though.

Cons

Our CEO has stated that he doesn't care about Glassdoor reviews and prefers that you provide any honest feedback to his face. The last time an employee followed his advice, they got fired soon afterwards. You can work 90 hours a week and management won't view that as a problem even if you complain about it. If anything, they will brag about your suffering to the entire work force and persuade others that working extremely hard is the norm here. Rather than addressing the company-wide issue of employee burnout and turnover, they instead hired a mental conditioner with zero experience in cybersecurity to "fix" the issue. You can't "fix" overworked employees. And when I say overworked I mean 80 to 90 hours a week on a salary pay. Any bonuses or raises you get will NEVER amount to what they'd owe you if overtime pay was a thing here. RQ has lost their grip on employee mental health if they ever even had a grip to begin with. I've lost count of how many delivery managers I've seen over the years crying during their lunch. The company will probably continue ramping up recruiting and "mental conditioning" before they ever focus on making their employees happy or healthy. Let me repeat that for the RQ folks in the back of the room who are too overworked to hear this. RQ chose to hire a MENTAL CONDITIONER to try and fix workplace morale. All it did was allow a guy to stroke the CEO's ego on a daily basis and get paid for it.

Pros

ReliaQuest has been a phenomenal place to work. One of the biggest things that stands out is how much the company invests in people who are willing to grow. It’s rare to find a company that promotes Business Development Representatives within 10–12 months, but here, hard work and development truly get recognized. If you’re willing to make yourself uncomfortable, apply feedback, stay adaptable, help others, and keep the right mindset, it will pay off. Management sees that effort and rewards it. It’s definitely not an easy job, but nothing great comes easy. What I’ve learned here in about a year is honestly what I believe would have taken me 3–5 years to learn somewhere else. ReliaQuest sees high-potential employees and genuinely wants to invest in them.

Cons

The role can be challenging and fast-paced, so it requires a lot of adaptability and resilience. It’s not an easy environment, but that also creates strong growth opportunities. It's also because of the industry in general!

Pros

My time at ReliaQuest has been life-changing. From the moment you join, the company invests in your growth and development, helping you evolve into a high-performing professional and leader. Since joining RQ, I’ve felt consistently challenged in the best way, while also being fully supported in everything I set out to accomplish. One of the things that makes RQ so unique is the level of support available to help us grow, both personally and professionally. We have two full-time mental performance coaches who are always there to help us navigate challenges and overcome obstacles. They’ve also built a Leadership Foundations program for emerging leaders. After six months at RQ, once you’ve completed a mindset badge and demonstrated excellence in your role, you become eligible to join the program. It’s an incredible opportunity to accelerate your career and learn the fundamentals of what it means to be a strong leader for your team. What stands out most to me, though, is the people. Everyone here is high-performing and pushes you to be the best version of yourself while striving to get 1% better every day. As a company, we truly live out our values—being accountable, helpful, adaptable, and focused—and I believe the people here embody those values every day.

Cons

While the challenge of cybersecurity is what drew me to RQ and this industry, it can also be one of the more difficult aspects at times. To be a leader in AI-driven cybersecurity, you have to constantly adapt to the evolving needs of the market. With that comes change, both within the company and in the work itself, and success requires embracing those challenges rather than resisting them. It isn’t always easy, but with the people around you and the mission you’re working toward, no change or challenge feels impossible.
