Pros
Benefits do exist. Generally provides a solid base for career development. Employees seem to have good relationships despite the highly demanding culture.
Cons
Awful, outdated views of how to run a SOC. Obvious Astro-turfing of their own reviews. It’s possible to progress a career here, but any other SOC will provide better compensation, in better areas to live. Employees are overworked and under compensated. The work life balance is a joke and the company will gaslight you with a “work life presence” joke of a philosophy. Management just serves as a way to squeeze the SOC for bigger numbers but they do nothing to address the longstanding underlying issues. High turnover rate. Refusal to meet market rates for pay probably contributes to this. They hire engineers with zero experience right out of school. Most of these people are genuinely brilliant and good people but it creates a workplace environment that desperately lacks high levels of skill and experience. Workload expectations are never clear and the goalposts seem to move every week. The management seems to believe that ‘working harder’ is the only way to meet the workload demands. Overall this is an exhausting place to work. They should invest in experienced leadership and work to bring the business processes and compensation to the modern era.
