Pros

- Flexability! Unlike a corporate job where you are just another number, this small business allows a lot of Flexability. They have worked so well with my schedule, I could not be more appreciative. As long as it shows that you're a hard worker, they really allow you a lot more wiggle room then most places. - Managment! As a growing business, the owners realized they needed more management in place. They have added experienced supervisors to every department. - Room to grow! The great thing about a start up company is the opportunity to grow with the company. - The Co-Workers! Everyone is so friendly. Also, lots of people to nerd out with, which is always a plus in my eyes! - Happy Hours! The owners do a great job at rewarding everyone who wants to join in on some fun at the end of the week. It is very pressure free if you don't want to drink either! They also do other events like taking employees to the movies so that everyone can always have a chance to partake in some fun. - Truly being a part of something! Once again, unlike a large corporation, every single person matters to this business. Contribution is needed from every member of the company and it is a wonderful feeling to know that everyone is so important to the success of the business. - Free Snacks! Need I say more? - The Weird Austin Vibe! - This company is perfect example of an Austin start up. The company is very welcoming to everyone! It has that Austin culture that is drawing so many people to Austin in the first place. - Learning! It's very obviously that the owners truly want to invest in their employees. It's a wonderful place to get a lot of experience.

Cons

- Training! Obviously, as a start up company it is impossible to have all the resources of a large company. There is no formal training program, but you cannot really expect one from a small company anyways. Luckily, everyone there is so nice and willing to help! Also, the owners are starting to working on putting something in place here. They are willing to take constructive criticism and are already taking steps to put more training in place.

It is a family owned business and it is important that each and every team member feels as if they are a part of the family. We realize that training is certainly one of our less developed processes. As a small company it does takes just a little longer to develop an efficient on boarding training program. Now that we have a supervisor hired in each department, which as in turn has lead to more structure, we are working diligently on providing a better training experience for new employees.

Pros

Scriptilabs is a small company with the perfect opportunity for an entry level developer looking for experience. Straight out of school or even little experience is ok. If the the owner of the company sees potential he's willing to take a chance on you. It is then up to you what you do with the opportunity given. Scriptilabs is a true team environment with a flexible work schedule.

Cons

Really the main con would be the insurance benefits. Of course there is no fluff when you are hired. You know there are not benefits although it is something the company continues to work on. Sometimes the projects can be a little demanding with such a small team but if you are up for the challenge then it's just one more opportunity for growth within the company.

Pros

I've been at ScriptiLabs for some time now and came in feeling like I was part of the team way before I even started. It was nothing short of an awesome first few days. The team helped me on board very quickly and made sure to be there if I had any questions. The team here is very knowledgeable and very approachable whenever something is needed. Collaboration and communication are a big part here and it is great knowing that everyone who needs to know is aware of where you are on what you are doing (not in a micromanaging type of way either.) Office culture is growing and it makes coming to work great!

Cons

I haven't had anything come up here that I would see as a Con. One thing I will say is that ScriptiLabs is not a place you want to up play your skills as you will be pushed to your skill set that you portray. In no way is this bad but it is something to be aware of.

It is a fast paced environment and sometimes a little hectic especially now that we have the strongest sales team since the start of Scriptilabs. Ownership and management are huge on communication and thank you for recognizing that! Some portray the communication and being held accountable as micromanagement. This is simply an employee’s easy way out by not taking ownership of how they can improve at their position. Offering benefits at the start of 2015 was very exciting for Scriptilabs. We look forward to continued growth & continued improvement as a company and team in 2016.
