      Pros

      Jobs at Simplot are very stable, pay is very good in the region. At Simplot, people take pride for being long-term employees (many work there for their entire career).

      Cons

      Leadership has no clear and realistic goals, and employees are not motivated at all to work hard, speak up and propose new ideas, because there is no expectation and your benefits have nothing to do with whether you work hard or not. Problems and mistakes are being ignored. No career development opportunities. It is a place for retirement, not suitable to young developing professionals.

      Pros

      HQ building is pretty cool and you can get some neat tours of company facilities. Work life balance is generally pretty good.

      Cons

      The company just has no idea what its doing regarding IT. Most management has been there 25+ years and still wants to operate like its the 90s. Head of IT is an accountant and the department is treated like a necessary evil and employees are told they provide no tangible value. Making any kind of impact is actively discourage and 'stay in your lane' is a core tenet. If you want to just show up, grind, and go home, this is the place for you.
