Pros
Down-to earth co-workers. The benefits are pretty good and the company is flexible to work for. My favorite part has been the ability to be involved in projects across different business entities within the country. Although upward mobility strictly within my department is limited I do see many people move around in the company. After a recent aquisition/merger I felt that all the employees were fairly treated and the company really focuses on not downsizing.
Cons
Minimal international footprint compared to other companies. We seem to be a late adopter of new technologies and ideas. Sub-par work-life balance in retail. Lack of direction or clear strategy by management. Diversity in the retail side of the business seems pretty poor; within retail the vast majority are white males who grew up on farms. It's difficult to break into the culture if you're not from this group.
