Bad work culture but decent benefits - Customer Service/Tech Representative TP Employee Review

Pros

When starting, you can work as little as 20 hours a week, easily take up extra shifts, and get paid fairly per hour Agent performance brackets, closed sales, and customer surveys together add up to about a 60% salary bonus You are forced to learn patience, ownership, and quick thinking.

Cons

Although treated "as a family", no one really enjoys dealing with irate customers and having a stopwatch for every call, there is often B2B and if you take your brake a bit later due to a log call, it goes unpaid. Strong bureaucracy where even managers can't lift a finger against arbitrary and out-of-touch rules and practices ordered by higher-ups. You are often tasked with many more activities than those in your original job description. It is difficult to exchange schedules with co-workers and almost impossible to reduce your working hours after increasing them a single time

Pros

I have a job and have met some amazing people in my role.

Cons

I've been here for almost a year and I was hired on with a medical field company which is what I applied for, I was not made aware that at anytime my position could be changed and I could be randomly put with another company. As of today I am with my 3 "campaign" not anything close to what I was hired on for. My training experience here has been the absolute worst every campaign has a thrown to the wolves mentality and you'll either sink or swim and we will fire you when you fail ethic. The pay sucks it is not competitive or an incentive to want to stay. There are no raises or bonuses. PTO is denied constantly even when put in far enough in advance. Each new campaign that I have been forced into has also come with at least 5 weeks of training time that days off were banned for so in the 11 months I've been here I've been required to work 15 weeks plus ongoing black out PTO days as well. People ask me if where I work is hiring and I tell them they don't want to work here. Also moving into better positions is impossible.
