Pros

Personally, I loved the culture and attitude that was sold to me initially at this company. They were open about opportunities to move up, and I seized every chance I could. At first, I had an open forum to structure my goals for leadership, and my colleagues and direct supervisor all pitched in to assist me (and others) to develop myself in the role of team lead. This also gave me the capability to show my employees the potential they could have in growth and development for themselves. It was so wonderful.

Cons

Unfortunately, the longer that you stay at the company, the more you see the lack of structure in higher leadership. This isn't helped by the deaf ears that are often associated with these leaders, as there is little room for feedback and criticism to be brought uphill, despite the constant nitpicking that is pushed downward to the frontline. This led to the crumbling of important campaigns, leading to larger failures overall. If it were more encouraged and enforced for internal growth and filling in necessary positions when they are desperately needed, we would have a proper structure, and the correct channels to hold higher leadership accountable for their actions (or lack thereof). To add to this, the funds to reward hard work for anyone beyond the teammate role were nonexistent. In my 2+ years in my role (not including the 9 months spent as an agent), none of my colleagues nor I (around 12 in all) received any raises or bonuses or incentives, but our workload was increased month over month. There were always excuses brought as to why this did not happen, all of which unsatisfactory.

Pros

The Frontline First culture is unlike any other organization I have worked for. I feel like the CEO and other CSuite leaders are transparent and approachable. Solid leaders who clearly understand the needs of employees.

Cons

Like all companies there are opportunities to improve, so nothing really worth mentioning.

Pros

Loved the LXL management chain. Supportive, fun, progress-minded. The company as a whole was okay, but the department I was with made it amazing. Lots of opportunities to develop skills. Absolutely incredible visibility for diversity, which is celebrated and respected without hesitation.

Cons

Very high demand. Can be very challenging to learn how to balance work and breathing room without falling behind. Many other departments were quick to blame the LXL department in front of highly regarded stakeholders for failures that were not of our own. Pay also changes depending on the client you work with. My client was the highest paying client at the time I was employed. The LXLs working for the branch-off of work from my client were paid much more than I due to the intensity of the work. My pay was considered the cap for where I was, and getting a raise that was not just a few pennies was not going to happen. Moving up is possible but limited. Due to this company being a BPO, if the client no longer needs our work, we are liable to be laid off. Employees are not contracted, but TaskUs is contracted to the client. Layoffs are a possibility, be it near or far. I was laid off after 4 years and saw many waves of many sizes laid off while there.
