Pros
*Responsive and friendly Talent Acquisition team - I was hired at TaskUs with a very friendly Talent Acquisition team who guided me throughout my one-day job application process. I also had the opportunity to get to know the Operations Manager, who conducted my final interview, as she was responsible for managing the LOB to which I was assigned. *Refreshing different-themed lobbies -The lobbies have different themes on each floor, which is refreshing, as you could also relax with the massage chairs provided. *Free food forward meal -The company offered free food as one of its benefits, allowing employees to claim a meal every day. Additionally, there was a separate pantry where snacks could be purchased. *Free limited parking *Easy accounts *Timely salary *Monthly happy hour events -The company also conducts a monthly Happy Hour for the employees to enjoy booze and free food/snacks. As long as you’re not on shift, you can drink! *Free use of the gym and sauna *Free wellness checkup *Free daycare for your little kids
Cons
*Management - Neglect: We have no weekly coaching, and during my last coaching session before I left the company, my immediate supervisor dared to tell me the reason why they wouldn't conduct a one-on-one coaching session was that they had nothing to say. This concern was raised through a Focus Group Discussion; however, it did not materialize even after multiple follow-ups. Also, multiple incident reports were being disregarded, even if there was an agent who was constantly manipulating the tools to avoid taking in calls and even sleeping at the station intentionally, just because the said agent is a spouse of one of the leaders. Additionally, even the leaders themselves are seen sleeping on the production floor. - Nepotism: This is discreetly blatant and highly denied, which makes career growth impossible for others. You won’t be promoted based solely on your knowledge and expertise, but rather on your relationship with management. I couldn't emphasize this so much that everyone would know that this is not normal and should not be tolerated anywhere. - Bullying: This is the fruit of nepotism and is being exercised and/or tolerated by the leaders themselves. Social media group chats are being used by the leaders to harass their agents discreetly, so this should be immediately removed. - “People First” no more: The environment is not healthy anymore. Speaking up would put a target mark on the back of your head, and staying silent would drain you mentally. After being a firsthand witness to how leaders would treat their subordinates if they speak up, it’s horrendous, unjust, and inhumane. I had to send an email to the Operations Director for my resignation to be processed after being resigned for a week and completing my clearance, since HR confirmed via email that it was not processed by my immediate supervisor. *Technology: Headsets provided to agents were hand-me-downs and have heavy signs of wear and tear. *HMO: A checkup or a visit to the dentist is a high inconvenience. Not emergency-friendly.
