Pros
The actual work is good...it is satisfying to do a good, efficient job for the patients.
Cons
Adversarial management. Constantly looking for petty reasons to reduce your pathetic annual raise. Constant pressure to work faster while introducing additional processes and procedures to slow you down under pain of being written up....If you follow all SOPs to the letter, you will be at about half or less expected speed and criticized for that. Pay is very low, (McDonald's pays better!) so staffing level is chronically short. At my location we are below 70% of allotted staff on the best shifts, and much lower than that for less desirable shifts. This is based on open job listings, not just my opinion. You will be criticized and possibly written-up when you can't keep up with the overload. This will cause some of your colleagues to quit, exacerbating the short-staffing issue.
