It is all bad. You name it, it is bad! Horrible company! BEWARE WORKING AT TRICORE INSIDE UNM HOSPITAL!!*** Management is absolutely awful at this hospital lab! They treat their employees horribly, they pay less than any other lab facility within the city! The supervisors will take advantage of every single employee and expect employees to give 1000% of themselves while Supervisors offer .5% of themselves. Absolutely ZERO team work at this facility!! Supervisors laugh and encourage the higher up employees to be little and bully other employees. This facility has so much employee gossip it’s like a day time television high school drama. Supervisors have Zero, and I mean ABSOLUTELY ZERO compassion/understanding for employees unless they are the few select special employees. Despite working in the medical field where compassion and understanding is suppose to be a given for healthcare employees, the supervisors at this facility are all about themselves and their deemed special employees ONLY!! I may not personally of had the displeasure of working at this facility, I have however known SEVERAL of the Phlebotomists that have left this facility in a hurry. There is a reason this facility is ALWAYS hiring Phlebotomists. Very unfortunate for such a great hospital to have such an eyesore of a lab facility tainting the hospital’s good reputation. This is a very unprofessional lab that literally has employees conducting work out of their scope of practice. Supervisors and management practice severe favoritism worse than any other company. Unfortunately, whenever a provider, patient, family member or other medical professional files a complaint on certain phlebotomists or lab assistants, there is absolutely ZERO consequences from the Supervisors or lead staff. That’s right, regardless if a phlebotomist does not follow the standards of TriCore, they are not reprimanded or given consequences. If lab assistants mess up consecutively, they to receive zero consequences and are not reprimanded. This place is an absolute joke and a sad excuse for a medical facility. Very important decisions are being decided on based on the samples at this lab and the type of employees that are hired I would not trust to flip my hamburger much less handle my life. If this place actually hired appropriate employees, there would probably be no issues. Please take the time to read the employee reviews before committing to work for this facility. This place is absolutely horrible. Finding a hard working employee that is actually happy to work there is impossible. ***RUN FAR AWAY!! Don’t waste your sanity working at this facility. Most employees report to each other of wanting to quit 2 months in if not sooner. There’s a reason this place has such negative employee reviews on employment websites and employee surveys. Hopefully sometime this place will get the overall it so desperately needs.
