Sense of Purpose - Clinical Staff We Are Sharing Hope Employee Review

Pros

This job really provides more sense of purpose than you'll get in most jobs. The mission of the organization is to respect the wishes of the donors and to provide a small bit of light in their darkest day by knowing their loved one lives on through the recipient. The staff is hard working and purpose driven. The company has been rebuilding for several years, and the effort they put into it is starting to pay off.

Cons

Longer hours, sometimes depressing because of the donor's death prior to donation. Like any medical, and particularly surgical, field, you have to pay active attention to your work-life balance.

Pros

The mission and work is rewarding, pay is fair, and work/life balance is valued. The leadership is open to hearing about issues and finding areas of improvement. Management is understanding and accommodating of working parents.

Cons

Like any statewide organization, there’s always room for improvement with communication

Pros

The field staff are wonderful. Working with them is an absolute treat.

Cons

The management is so out of touch. They do not care about employees or patients. They’re completely focused on numbers and have no issue overworking staff, cutting corners, ruining families lives, and pursuing patients with no donation pathway. They’re trying have no compassion for others and are only out to save their job. The upper management only surround themselves with Yes Men and fire anyone who questions their decisions or pushes back. You will be scared for your job constantly and be put in uncomfortable situations that cause you to advocate for yourself and basic human dignity of your patients. On top of that- because of the bad decisions management makes, we have burned about every relationship with the hospitals in the state of SC. Most hospitals absolutely hate working with us. Nursing staff is rude and will kick you off the unit and you’ll get a lot of pushback from physicians to do anything donations related.
