Nancy Kay retired in 2016. The new CEO is David Destefano.
Morale has never been this low. Changes made by new CEO are not working. Staffing is a nightmare. Several teams are chronically short staffed. Started hiring uneducated "coordinators" to manage donors instead of RNs. This resulted in at least one lawsuit. Dependent on travel coordinators (like travel nurses but they aren't nurses) to manage donors for the past three years because no one wants to work here. Unethical decision making by upper management. They are more concerned about increasing profit than respecting donor families, hospital staff, and especially their own employees. Some compensation plans do not align with the FLSA. If you question your pay, submit "too many" expenses, or ask how the company is doing financially you are labeled as a "paycheck employee" who cares more about pay than the mission. The quality department is not allowed to monitor these new structural changes to staffing, processes, etc, in order to evaluate whether changes are working. Those who have stood up to the CEO or disagree with him have been forced out or had their positions eliminated. Most staff are looking for other jobs or holding out for the CEO to move on.
