Hourly employees deserve respect.

Pros

It's a job that barely pays the bills

Cons

The management where I work only cares about their salaried employees and not about the hourly employees. The HR Dep't is unprofessional as well as almost the rest of the upper management team. They don't care that the hourly employees are actually paying their salaries with the product we put out, and if it wasn't for us, then they wouldn't have jobs. They are ruthless, uncaring individuals and if they gave a little bit of respect, they would get some in return.

Pros

Company has well meaning policies and intentions. There is a focus on safety and many other systems in place to acknowledge outstanding individuals. There are many opportunities to learn new things and gain skills

Cons

Not competitive wages unless your part of the inner circle, you will know if you are or not. Its an old mans club at the center. If you dont buddy up to those in power, example being spending afternoons and weekends at your managers house, then advancement or a fair shot are not in your future.

Most people in lower level positions are friendly.

Cons

Everything is secretive and closed door. They are VERY strict on time. Management does not listen to input from employees. Jobs are not clear nor organized.
